The Hamilton 982 were some of the first civilian watches produced after WWII in 1946. The 19 jewel 982M ( M for Medallion) was the ‘special’ version of the 982 with extra decoration for a fancy looking movement. The solid gold case is clean looking and a movement is in great condition. The only detraction is some corrosion on part of the dial typical of a watch of this age. After service it runs well, and keeps good time over a 24 hour period.
