E. Howard & Co. Boston – Antique Pocket Watch Service & Repair
This antique E. Howard & Co. pocket watch, manufactured in Boston, Massachusetts, recently underwent a complete mechanical service in our workshop. E. Howard & Co. was one of America's most respected early watch manufacturers, renowned for producing finely crafted movements with excellent finishing and precision engineering.
Fortunately, the movement was found to be in very good mechanical condition, with no significant damage or worn components requiring replacement. A complete disassembly and service was all that was necessary to restore the watch to running condition. The movement was carefully disassembled, its components thoroughly cleaned and inspected, and then reassembled with appropriate lubrication. Following reassembly, the watch was regulated and tested for proper operation. This is an excellent example of how a well-preserved antique pocket watch can often be returned to reliable running condition through careful servicing without the need for extensive repairs or replacement parts.
