This Bulova 7AK chronograph was received with clear evidence of water intrusion, resulting in significant rust on the front plate as well as corrosion-related damage to key winding components. During inspection, the crown wheel, winding pinion, and clutch were found to be compromised and required replacement to restore proper function. The movement was fully disassembled, and corrosion on the plates and remaining components was carefully removed and stabilized before thorough cleaning. After reassembly, correct lubrication, and adjustment, the movement was returned to reliable operating condition, preserving as much original material as possible while addressing the damage caused by moisture exposure.
