Vintage E. Howard 18-size pocket watches are among the most respected American timepieces, prized for their precision engineering and exceptional build quality. When restoring an E. Howard 18-size movement, every component must be carefully inspected, cleaned, and adjusted to bring the watch back to dependable performance. My complete repair and service process includes full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication, replacement or fabrication of worn parts when needed (in this case the pivots on the balance staff were broken, so I fabricated a new one in my shop) , and detailed timing adjustments to ensure reliable accuracy.
