Disassembly of the Seiko 6119C show a very dirty, but serviceable movement, with the signature “magic” lever autowind mechanism. A good quality robust movement. Only one plastic part (date wheel advance). Compare to the recent Seiko 5 Automatic 7S26C. Seiko 5’s are known to run and run for years without bother, but when they are of this vintage, they are running poorly and ready for some attention.
Cleaned, sorted in the trays, and ready for reassembly.
Complete with new crystal (New Old Stock are still available for this model), case cleaned up and running well. Unique to this model is the ability to rotate the bezel with the stem.
