It includes chronograph functions, tachymeter scale, small seconds, 30-minute counter, and 12-hour counter.

Servicing the Rolex Cosmograph

Servicing the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 116519, powered by the in-house Caliber 4130, involves a more modern and streamlined process compared to vintage Rolex chronographs. The Cal. 4130, introduced in 2000, features a simplified and highly efficient chronograph design with fewer components than earlier movements like the Valjoux-based Cal. 727, improving reliability and ease of service. During servicing, the movement is fully disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, and reassembled with modern synthetic lubricants to ensure long-term performance. The vertical clutch system and column wheel require precise adjustment for smooth chronograph engagement. Unlike vintage models, the 4130 also includes a Parachrom hairspring, which is highly resistant to shocks and magnetic fields, requiring special care during handling. While the movement is thoroughly serviced, the case of the 116519 is cleaned with only light or no polishing, in keeping with modern collector preferences to preserve original lines and finish. The pushers are completely disassembled and cleaned.
