Wittnauer was an American watch company that primarily imported Swiss watches or watch components for assembly. The Genève Professional Chronograph housed the Swiss Landeron 51 movement. While in my opinion not as refined as other high end chronograph movement such as the Valjoux, the Landeron was a good quality timepiece and sold at a reasonable price when new. The vintage market is also reasonably priced compared to higher end vintage chronographs.
This example in for service was in good shape, although the plating is largely worn off. After disassembling and cleaning (and several small adjustment due to wear) the watch ran well.
